Sewerage Rehabilitation

Sewer Rehabilitation by Trenchless Technology

Definition of Trenchless Technologies

"A family of methods, materials, and equipment capable of being used for the installation of new or replacement or rehabilitation of existing underground infrastructure with minimal disruption to surface traffic, business, and other activities." - North American Society for Trenchless Technology

The underground sewerage & drainage pipe line system is constantly pull you into a big challenges due to faulty installation, root/water infiltration, cracks, joint fail, corrosion, erosion, displacement of pipe and settle down.

The benefits of trenchless technology are many-

  • - Safer for the public
  • - Minimal traffic impacts
  • - Minimal road repairs
  • - Deeper has little cost impact
  • - Soil, rock, water table - OK
  • - Freedom in alignment
  • - Shorter schedule

We strongly recommend, Sewer Rehabilitation by Trenchless Technology by using Glass Reinforced Plastic Pipes (GRP) & Cured In Placed Pipe (CIPP)

Trenchless Technology is for relining full length / part pipe. Result is a quick simple and cost effective "No Dig" solution to pipe renewal with minimal disruption.

Trenchless Sewer Rehabilitation by: 1) Glass Reinforced Plastic Pipe (GRP) and 2) Cured In Place Pipe (CIPP)

GRP

How the GRP lining method is done

GRP lining is a hose relining method in which the in-liner used is seamless glass fiber fabric hose. GRP lining can be used to rehabilitate damaged sewers ex. Root penetration, deposits, socket deformation, cracks and pipe fractures.

Pre-cleaning is performed to the old/host pipe, in addition a CCTV survey should be performed before and after applying the GRP procedure.

A winch then pulls the in-liner hose into the existing pipe through a shaft. After fixing the joints grouting will be done for fill up the annular space between liner and the host pipe.

Advantages of using Igiene GRP pipeline lining service

Igiene will serve you a turnkey GRP services, including professional pipe cleaning and CCTV survey according to the client’s prerequisite.

Short construction time and with no field damages

As a trenchless technology, GRP does not require excavation to rehabilitate a damaged pipeline.

Efficient rehabilitation of any straight pipe sections including bends

Capable of lining all circular and ovoid profile

CIPP

How the CIPP lining method is done

Pre cleaning is performed to the old/host pipe, in additional a CCTV survey should be performed before and after applying the CIPP Procedure.

CIPP or Cured in Place Pipe method is done by using a flexible tube liner made up of corrosion proof synthetic and /or glass fibers, which is saturated with reaction resins and introduced into the host pipe through a manhole, access pit or access-eye chamber.

Air or water is used to transport the liner down to the point of repair. After final cure of the reaction resin, the liners form tight positive and frictional fit with the host pipe wall.

CIPP trenchless method serve the following rehabilitation cases:

Main pipes of sewer systems

House sewers

Lateral connections

Building Drainage

Advantages of using Igiene CIPP pipeline lining service

CIPP considered as a trenchless technology with short construction time and with no field damages

Igiene will serve you a turnkey CIPP services, including professional pipe cleaning and CCTV survey according to the client’s prerequisite.

As a trenchless technology, CIPP does not require excavation to rehabilitate a pipeline that is either leaking or structurally unsound.

CIPP has a continuous smooth interior without joints and can repair even a pipe with bended profile.
